NOS THÉRAPEUTES
Dr Nguyen Toan Tran
Passionate about human contact and community health, I trained in family medicine in the USA and in general internal medicine in Switzerland (FMH). I offer a slow, integrative approach to medicine, with an emphasis on listening, health promotion and prevention. In this context, I integrate acupuncture, electro-acupuncture and auriculotherapy into my clinical practice (complementary training certificate (AFC) in acupuncture and Chinese pharmacotherapy recognized by the FMH and reimbursed by insurance companies). I work at Otium on Wednesday mornings and in private practice on Monday and Wednesday afternoons. When I’m not in the clinic, I do research and teaching in community health or go on mission to work on maternal and reproductive health in humanitarian situations (Masters in Public Health, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine; PhD in Demography, UNIGE). Initiated by Thich Nhat Hanh, I’ve been practicing mindfulness meditation and vipassana since I was a teenager, and have spent a total of over two years of my life in silent retreat.
