NOS THÉRAPEUTES

Emily Hollender

Breast protheticist

Originally from Geneva, I studied management in Montreal. As a child, I was fascinated by lace and satin, the fabrics that enhance women’s bodies so well. So it was quite natural for me to work in lingerie during my studies in Quebec.

Between weight gain, dieting, and pregnancy, my perception of the body evolved, and I became aware that accepting oneself is difficult but a possible journey.

In 2008, while I was living in Montreal, my mother battled breast cancer. I then chose to return to Switzerland to be close to my family and support her.

I founded Almatila in 2015, intending to support women in these difficult times when the disease is an obstacle to comfort and femininity. To complete my studies and be recognized by the insurance companies, I followed several training courses in medical lingerie. Today, Almatila offers specialized and personalized advice for all those who need to adapt to their new bodies. A wide range of elegant and comfortable articles, specific for mastectomies (with external prostheses), lumpectomies, or reconstruction, are carefully selected to allow a smooth transition. Feeling beautiful, attractive, and comfortable in your body is just as important as the medical follow-up..

I receive patients in private practice in downtown Geneva, and I can come to your home or the hospital if necessary. I attach particular importance to establishing a relationship of trust in this rediscovery of self because each story is unique.
